I started my career working in Home and Community Based Services over 16 years ago but have been working with people that have disabilities since I was in high school. My mother was (now retired) the Director of Special Education for Minneapolis Public Schools, and this is where I first began to work with people with disabilities. In 2010, I finished my Bachelor of Science in psychology from Minnesota State University Mankato while working as a program supervisor and moved back to the twin cities to continue my work. After a few years of working my way up through different positions and a couple different organizations, I found myself at an organization that gave me the opportunity to build new and specialized Community Residential Settings for individuals that display significant behavioral challenges. After receiving an invitation to come and grow an entire company, I decided to see if I had the skills to be able to do so. When I joined the company, there were only 8 employees and about $500,000 in revenue. After only 4 years, I have grown the company to over 150 employees and $12,000,000 in annual revenue. This has become become my true passion, and now I am helping other providers achieve the same success!

I began my career in corporate adult foster care over 15 years ago, while completing my Bachelor of Science in Social Work at Augsburg College. After graduation, I continued to support individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, and co-occurring disorders as a Program Supervisor/Designated Coordinator. In this role for six years, I oversaw up to five programs simultaneously. Following the birth of my son, I faced the challenging decision to transition towards the administrative side of the field. I had an opportunity to support Adam in developing over 30 programs for people over the last 8 years. I managed special products to aid in improving and streamlining processes and ensuring efficient systems. I developed compliance systems, to ensure both physical sites and paperwork were compliant with 245D regulations. I acted as the company’s sensitive information person (SIP) coordinating DHS licensing and maltreatment investigations. I also worked to develop multiple departments within the organization and established policies and procedures for those departments such as Finance, HR, Training, IT, etc. I’ve led special projects for the growth of the company and implementation of different systems necessary for the organization to sustain its stability through growth. This included payroll systems such as Paycor & UKG. Along with these, I am familiar with a variety of accounting applications used in streamlining process flows. Additionally, I have continued aiding the Executive Director in monitoring and achieving key performance indicators and fiscal goals. I perform many functions, but my daily goal is to develop effective systems and processes that emphasize quality and support the team. When the team feels supported, they are better equipped to focus on their mission of helping people achieve their dreams.
