Adam is available for consultation either in person or remotely, offering the following behavioral and organizational support services:

____ Positive Support Rule 9544 Training (8 hours) – This training meets the requirements assigned in the Positive Supports Rule 9544 and 245D initial training requirements for direct support employees. This training is available with or without Physical Intervention Training.

____ Crisis Intervention Training (8 hours) – This training is not part of the required 245D training, but an additional training to help employees work with individuals that display significantly challenging behaviors. Topics covered include team building, proactive strategies for supports, reactive strategies for supports, supporting people in crisis, trauma informed care, Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, and a refresher on physical interventions (should have Positive Behavioral Support Training prior to this class).

____ Physical Intervention Training (2 hours) – This training involves learning to manage crisis situations safely and effectively through safe physical intervention.

____ Behavioral Observation and Behavior Support Plan writing (Hourly) – On-site observation/assessment of individuals receiving services that are displaying behaviors above and beyond what the provider can handle. Consider this option prior to issuing service suspension or termination notices to individuals displaying behaviors that are difficult to manage.

____ Positive Support Transition Plans (Hourly) – Completion of Positive Support Transitions Plans for individuals that reach the threshold requirements for these plans. This includes initial writing of the plan, and training of staff on the initial plan. Any revisions, quarterly reporting, etc. will be the provider’s responsibility or can be requested at an additional cost.

____ Program/Outcome review, revision, and development (Hourly) – We are willing to review existing programming for people receiving services and make recommendations for changes/improvements. If desired, we can develop person centered Outcomes and Data Tracking for people receiving services that are compliant with requirements under 245D.

____ On shift training with staff (Hourly) – On shift training and observation for employees to help build relationships built on trust, work effectively with co-workers, appropriate positive supports, identification of patterns/problems and help resolving them.

____ Organizational System assistance (Hourly or Project Based) – Identifying process, policies, and procedural changes to adhere to licensing standards, as well as improve systems and efficiency of the organization.

____ Quality Assurance (Hourly or Project Based) – recommendations on overall standards for employees, management, and senior leadership of the organization. Coaching on how to provide different services in accordance with MN DHS licensing and service standards with a person centered and quality focused approach.

___ Financial Review & Assistance (Hourly or Project Based) – This may include writing DWRS exceptions, building budgets, addressing organizational P&L issues, assistance in collecting earned revenue, navigation of the MHCP provider issues, etc.
